Introducing Able, an extraordinary rescue cat who defies all odds by getting around like a kangaroo with no front legs. “The moment I laid eyes on Able, I felt an incredible surge of energy and inspiration to embrace life,” shared Able’s devoted caretaker, Walai Sriboonvorakul, with Coconuts Bangkok. At just one year old, Able suffered a traumatic accident while attempting to catch a bird on the roof, leading to a near-fatal electrocution from a loose wire. Sadly, as a result, Able lost his front legs and tail. Fortunately, Sriboonvorakul stepped in with a compassionate heart, saving Able from a bleak existence as a disabled stray in the streets of Chiang Mai, Northern Thailand.
With unwavering dedication, Sriboonvorakul nursed Able back to health, and today, two years later, this remarkable feline has made a remarkable recovery. “We named him ‘Able’ because he demonstrates an incredible ability to do everything just like any other animal,” Sriboonvorakul proudly shared. Whether it’s climbing stairs, chasing fellow felines, or accomplishing impressive jumps, Able proves time and time again that he is unstoppable. But the story doesn’t end there – Able has a companion named Fin Fin who, ironically, struggles with the use of her hind legs. Despite their contrasting leg problems, these two feline friends are inseparable and provide each other with unwavering companionship.
At the tender age of one, Able encountered a life-altering accident involving a loose wire that led to electrocution, resulting in the loss of his front legs.
