The family is devastated by the loss of their faithful pit bull who bravely fought and lost its life defending them from a deadly cobra that tried to enter their home. The pregnant dog was carrying ten puppies at the time of the incident. The owner, Buncherd Praprom, was captured in heartbreaking photos lying next to the lifeless body of the 4ft-long snake, which is known to be one of the most lethal in the world. Despite the dog’s valiant efforts, it suffered fatal wounds from the powerful venom of the cobra, which would have killed it within minutes. This tragic event has left the family mourning the loss of their loyal companion.
Suriyon Chanthakhet, who is the owner of the dog, revealed that their faithful furry friend lived with them on their property. Sadly, the beloved pet sacrificed her life to protect them from a cobra. Chanthakhet expressed his immense sadness and grief by saying, “It’s heartbreaking to think about the pain she must have gone through, and it makes me cry.”
According to Suriyon, he heard a commotion near the front yard where Nong Horm was fighting something. However, when he went outside, it was too late to save their dog from the cobra. Suriyon felt responsible for not being able to save Nong Horm and her puppies from the attack. The cobra also perished shortly after. The family then disposed of the snake and buried Nong Horm in their backyard.
According to Suriyon, their family’s pet dog Nong Horm was the most exceptional pet they had ever cared for due to her unwavering loyalty, even to the point of sacrificing her life for them. This could be attributed to the historical relationship between man and dog, dating back to the discovery of buried dog bones near human settlements by archeologists. It is believed that dogs evolved from wolves, and when they began befriending humans, their bond became inseparable and timeless.
