Together with the full support of his mother, they frequently visited animal shelters to create films that showcase the dogs in hopes of finding them a permanent home. Their focus is on the timid and fearful dogs that need a voice. However, their efforts extend beyond filming as they also take some of these shelter dogs into their own home for temporary care until they can be adopted by a loving family.
Their affection and attention towards the dogs were evident, and every furry friend left a lasting impression on them. They came up with Project Freedom Ride when they realized that a more significant effort was required. The purpose of the project was simple yet impactful, which involved relocating dogs from high-risk areas in Texas to places like Washington where the demand for them exceeded the availability.
Since its inception in 2015, the tireless efforts of this group have led to more than 4,800 dogs finding happy homes. Roman and his loved ones also provided temporary refuge to canines in need, including a charming pup named Bolt. The family savored every moment spent with Bolt, relishing energetic mornings and even sneaking in the occasional fast-food treat. “Bolt joined our family as a wee pup, and over time, he became my favorite wrestling buddy.” Roman shared, “Regardless, I am confident that he will find a wonderful forever home.”
The connection between the boy and his beloved dog, Bolt, was so strong that bidding farewell was a tough pill to swallow. Nevertheless, realizing that Bolt would receive affection from his new family eased the separation process.
